Steal Of The Week

I had lunch with my gal pal Liz yesterday. We got into a discussion about flats and she pulled up her pant leg a little to reveal her adorable black flats. "They look like patent leather, right?" she said. They did, totally! "They are jellies! They are plastic jellies and I got them at Target and they are so comfortable!!!" she shared. I swear to you they look exactly like a pair of Sam Edelman flats that I had admired on Zappos that were over $100!!! These are retailing on the Target website for...wait for it.... $7.99!!!
Make a pair yours today!! Give them as a gift this holiday season!! You can't afford to miss out on this super steal!

Song Of The Day

One of my favorite songs of all time is "Your Love" by The Outfield. It is an 80's classic and reminds me of going crazy on the postage stamp size dance floor of Logan's on 6th Street in Austin with my best girlfriends when I was in college. It was played at one of said girlfriend's wedding a month ago and I felt 21 again! I love it! We all hold hands and sing it as loud as can be into each other's faces and jump up and down. We are a sophisticated bunch. I love Katy Perry's cover of the song. She puts an awesome-Pink-girl-anthem spin on it that makes me want to get up and dance in my cube every time it queues up on my Party Shuffle mix on iTunes. She also scores points for her hilarious EP title. Go to iTunes and drop some change on this song. You will love me for it!

I *Heart* My New Dress

One of my favorite stores in the universe is Anthropologie. I literally can get lost in there and circle and circle for hours and still not see everything. A single trip to the store can cause fabulous style overload....my favorite kind of overload. My latest trip there was highly profitable. I scored this adorable dress for spring. Who cares that I paid full price and that the after Christmas sales will probably have this bad girl going for 40% off. I LOVE IT!!! It totally has the bohemian look that I love without looking like an Olsen twin sack. It has adorable detail in the bodice, I love the fluttery-but-not-too-Stevie-Nicks-y sleeves and of course the Ikat pattern on the fabric is bad ass. Ikat, according to InStyle and Bazaar magazines, is going to be big this spring, which makes me feel oh-so-cutting-edge. Don't you feel that way just reading about it?

Persian Moon Dress, Anthropologie stores & Anthropoligie.com, $128
I suggest ordering down a size as this fabulous schmatta runs big.

Some TomKat Jokes Just Write Themselves...

I distinctly remember an interview between Katie Holmes and David Letterman back in 2005 where he asked her about the height difference between herself and new boyfriend (and future baby daddy and husband) Tom Cruise. Katie rapidly fired back "What are you talking about? I don't know what you're talking about." and then proceeded to yap on and on about "her man" and how much they loved scuba diving. It was annoying and as this picture so boldly illustrates.....total crap.
