I have already taken the liberty of planning our next vacation. I've found the perfect place. Granted with the house and all of our residual time and money being poured into the perfect rugs and light fixtures, this vacation is set in the future tense. But it will happen. And if it happens before 2009 – I could die happy. The Surf Lodge in Montauk will be our destination. This beautiful hotel in the sleepy surf town on Long Island will satisfy both our need for adventure and our desire for relaxation.

The wood floors in the main building are painted turquoise, surfing movies loop on monitors in the lobby and a chalkboard displays most current wave heights. The rooms are decorated in weightless white and boast private balconies complete with climb-in-me-now hammocks.

Former Top Chef contestant Sam Talbot rules the roost at the hotel restuarant and a Tracy Feith boutique is present to satisfy my shopping addiction. After a long day you can relax at their Outdoor Beach Cinema while sipping an Endless Summer (vodka, white wine, grapes, sugar, lemon juice).
Yep. The next time we pack our bags – this is where we are going.

i know! i fell in love with this place when i first saw the website. montauk, which is at the very end of the hamptons, is awesome off-season.
BUT probably best to beware the in-season crowds, yikes!

Looks like paradise!
This place is beyond gorgeous. Take me with you! :)
um, think you may have found a potential honeymoon spot. Jeff would love this! Do they have a sister property in Costa Rica or Hawaii?

after reading about this on BB8's blog and yours...I am now having SERIOUS vacation fever. These pics are so inviting.
Heck, I could justify a trip just to visit Tracy Feith's store - my favorite go-to party dress designer. You would need something to wear while sipping that Endless Summer...right?!
hmmmm, I would like to go there just for the hammocks and Chef Sam!
This looks so dreamy. A hanging chair and a hammock???
It looks nice but I'd be nervous about the 'Montauk Monster' climbing in the window one night...
