Tattoo You

Angelina Jolie is inked up like it's nobody's business.

Joanna's friend has a tiny, hilarious mustache tattoo that she pulls out as a conversation piece.

And little Hayden Panettiere just got the Italian word for "to live" tatted on her back.

You might not have one, but you might have at least thought about what you would get if you did. Tell me! What would you get if you got a tattoo?

ps- I have a four leaf clover on my back left hip (Go Irish!). And I am debating a tiny star on my foot!

I love a big tat on a bloke - they always look great.
On me? Have toyed with the idea for years but can't quite put my finger on something that means quite enough to me ... am totally open to them though.
Go the star - I love foot tats - the dixie chicks have stars for all their platinum albums on their feet I think ... I think tats with meanings are the best xx

I have a tattoo of an animated piece of toast on my forearm. Sounds weird, I know but it actually has a meaning-silly but still a meaning.

I think I'll post about it on my blog soon. :)

I've been toying around the idea of getting a tattoo of the word hope. I'm kind of a chicken though!

I, too, have a 4-leaf clover, but on my right foot! In each petal, there are my initials (EMRT). I love it. But I don't plan on getting any more.

I have three tatoos, all stars. An armband around my right bicep, a double star on my left ankle, and a star design right above the centre of my shoulder blades.

They add character and make you stand out, in my opinion. However, there are always the lame tatoos, the ones that people get to get a tatoo and not because it means anything to them. You can always tell those ones from a mile away...

erin - my husband has the word hope tattooed on his right interior forearm. he got it when my dad was battling cancer as a reminder to never give up hope. it means a lot to me.

I have a celtic heart on my hip that I absolutely love. I have been toying with a couple other ideas but haven't decided yet. I am a big fan of text or literary tattoos, though.

Be careful -- I heard that the foot is the most painful place to get a tattoo. In fact, some parlors won't even tattoo feet. I had that experience when I went to get mine -- the Tibetan symbol for everlasting wisdom and knowledge. I got it on the small of my back and also considered getting something on my foot, but they wouldn't do it.

I have my daughter's name in the inside of one wrist inked in old typewriter font. I love it.

And on my ankel I have a dolphin and the Chinese character for water. I hate it. I was 20.

i would get a little heart on my hip (like rachel in friends, i know, so unoriginal).that's what i've been saying for like 5 years, so i think it's definitely my tatoo (if i ever got one).

Like Baking with Plath, I love text tattoos. And like Petunia Face, I love the old typewriter font. There's a great book, 'Body Type' by Ina Saltz and also a cool Flickr group (also called Body Type, I think) dedicated to this type of tattoo. Take a look...there some great stuff in there.

Brave girls! I'm much too fickle to ever get a tattoo. Heck, I buy clothes I like in every color, I couldn't possibly get that many tattoos!

Three little stars on my back/shoulder, I got it with my sisters (who are also shown in the picture) right before I moved away.

I have "strive to be happy" across my chest. It's from the Desiderata. I also love text/literature tattoos! I would not be opposed to getting more.

I have a line of five ants on my foot. I also have three different drawings of bells going down my side (it's a Kurt Vonnegut thing).

I don't have any but if I were to get one I've always wanted a peacock feather, or just the eye of the feather. That has meaning for me, but so far I'm just too chicken to get one b/c of the pain.

ooooh yes - go the star on the foot, love it!
and that mustache tattoo on the finger - that is the greatest thing I've seen in ages!!!

I have a Celtic Motherhood knot on the inside of my right ankle. It's 3 intertwining hearts with 3 dots, 2 on the inside of the hearts (for my daughter and my husband) and one on the outside for me, watching over and taking care of them.

Oh, I love the ants tattoo! I have a tattoo of a freckle below my left collarbone - a non-rebellious girl's act of rebellion. I got it while I was studying abroad in Spain, and had to go to two tattoo shops because the first thought it was such a silly idea that it wasn't worth their time.

I have a fleur de lis on my ankle, thinking about more...and nothing is hotter than a dude with hot tats - LOVE IT -

I like seeing tattoos on people (some of them are ugly, but some are nice) although I wouldnt get one myself. I like to be a blank canvas haha..

If I had to, I would get a scripture, or verse or a word that has special meaning to me..

My husband and I have been toying with the idea of getting each other's initials tatooed on our ring fingers under our wedding rings with our wedding date... I have no tattoos as of now though. : )

I just got a tattoo with the word "HÅP", meaning "hope", on the top of my hand. I'm drawing something to add to it right now.

I have a four tattoos.
One on each hip, the left one is a cross, and the right a heart.
And I have both of my earlobes tattooed with the ying on one side, and the yang on the other. :)
I love tattoos! I'm definitely not done getting them!
