Minty Money

I'm not going to lie, I can sometimes be a total kamikaze with money. I joke all the time that my paycheck should be direct deposited in the corporate pockets of Target, iTunes and lately - baby stores. If you are like me and sometimes find yourself muttering "Where did my money go?" then maybe Mint is what you need. Link it to your bank and you have clear cut charts created for you telling you exactly where your money goes. It's pretty genius and totally simple to use. I'm addicted.

I've been using Mint for two years and it's changed the way I spend. It forced me to 'cool' it with my Target addiction!

I am obsessed with Mint! Sometimes it's hard to face how much money I spend on stupid things though.

I had no idea that this website existed..I truly need something like this. I too feel as if my paychecks should go directly to Target lol.

Its safe to give them your logins? I'm a little paranoid about that stuff.

The concept is great, but it seems really risky to put all your information for every bank account and credit card in one place. Your credit cards track your spending for you! There are too many hackers out there. Better do some research before giving out all your information!

Both Anons - Mint is a safe and secure site. I know there are tons of talented hackers out there but I feel safe on Mint. Here is a link to their safety policies:

It's up to the individual and something like this isn't for everyone.

My concern is whether the shock and awe of how much of my money goes to JUNK will actually be powerful enough to make me stop spending my money on junk. Because I'm aware now. I am trying to kick the Starbucks habit cause I spend over $100 there each month, sometimes close to $200.

I love this thing! It reminded me today to pay my credit card. What more can you ask for?

ooooh me too, me too - total kamikaze. And for some people this comes as such a shock because I'm an accountant. Hey - I'm very good with other peoples money, totally different story with my own! x
