I often wish I had an accent. Weird fact about me - whenever I talk to someone with an accent - I automatically talk back to them in their accent! I have to stop myself and make a conscious effort to speak normally. I have no idea why. Maybe I was a Brit or Aussie in a former life. This is the perfect poster for a poseur like me!

A couple friends and I have been known to fake accents for a day or two. It's just too much fun!
Hahaha..that's hilarious! I actually love impersonating a british accent. It's the only one I can do and I tend to read harry potter in my head with a british accent lol!...I was just looking at the "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters yesterday on Etsy. :)

Too funny, I mentioned something similar to my boyfriend the other night ...I don't imitate accents, but pitches, if someone says "Hi!" in a very shrill voice I will say it the same exact way back lol I always hope they don't think I'm mocking them haha
I find I do that as well. Mostly unconsciously. Drove my husband nuts in the Dominican Republic. Oh well.

I do this too. I try to stop but cannot...
ha! my husband always does this. he works with a lot of hispanic men who are struggling to learn our language so i always scold him for making it even harder for them to ever really speak and understand English. now i might start laughing instead knowing he is at least in fabulous company!

I love this! My sister and I are always faking accents. She will come out of nowhere with it, and I just have to keep up!
lol... this is fun. My sister can carry on with another accent too and she does this during dinner time when everyone is around the table. We have great fun with her on that.
